Cuddles predicts fewer updates than ever this year.
Niklas will tell Zoe the names of all of these buildings, even if he has to make them up.

  • 2011-01-04: Well, what a busy month. A recap of the last month of post would certainly be easier than a recap of the actual events of December, but people don't seem to like autoplaying files of crickets chirping. We should be back up to speed in the next few days or so (unlike past years, I (fine, Andrya) managed to document our holiday exploits via image capturing devices of varying quality), so be on the lookout for that. Not too closely; lazyness is tough to shake. Anyway, both kids are doing very well. Zoe has a new favorite food as pears have overtaken previous Champion For Life milk. Niklas got various Matchbox and Cars related toys for Christmas and has been having a blast with those. I've been self diagnosed with sleeping sickness, but so-called medical professionals assure me it's lethargy. As always, Andrya is doing well.
    2011-01-05:
So, the Christmas time pictures of the kids turned out pretty well. I can't post them today because of important... business... meetings that I've been having at the... business... torium. OK, here's one:

Not Pictured: Andrya doing a celebratory dance upon getting the rest of us to smile

2011-01-16: So, those pictures I promised? Here are some from Christmas and here are some more recent ones. I'm still working on the write up of our Christmas adventures, but I'll let you know when I get around to that.

So, in news of the present day, Zoe is scooting about the floor, albeit strictly in reverse. She puts her feet in the air and pushes herself backwards with her hands. This works out best for her on the hardwood floor, as the coefficient of friction is much lower. Science! She's also figured out that she can roll over repeatedly and get herself to places she wants to go. That works everywhere, so I can't plop her down anywhere other than the pack and play without a thorough check of the area.

Niklas has been spending most of his time playing with his Christmas loot and spouting inappropriate phrases that he's learned from the Simpsons. I don't need to here my son say "continue swimming naked".
2011-01-17: And now, an important message from Zoe:

    2011-01-30:
Years from now, I'm sure I will look back at this video of my children getting along and I'll be dumbfounded that such an era existed.
